Things I can't find, because Mr. Howie tends to announce major changes in off-hand comments to unrelated posts:

  • Meta about signups being closed.
  • Stuff about the first signup closure, which was around user #12k probably sometime in 2001. http://metatalk.metafilter.com/1148/
  • When Flagging was added.
  • An announcement of anon posts.

I started out with the ISO standard YYYY-MM-DD date format because it lines up nicely, but I understand the international aspect of having unambiguous dates. I switched to a simple table so at least the columns line up, but I still wish the dates weren't variable width. There's got to be a nice MediaWiki way of handling this, anybody know what it is? Hmm, according to [1] it looks like if we do dates as [[YYYY-MM-DD]] it will auto-convert to the user's selected datetime format on display; however it will also create a link to a node of that name which is somewhat undesirable. Rhomboid 20:42, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Okay, using TT the dates are now uniform, so I guess it's a pretty good compromise, even though the markup is kinda ugly. Rhomboid 21:01, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
The line spacing is a bit wide now. --Smackfu 21:05, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
