Each section of MetaFilter has its own distinctive background color. Users sometimes refer to certain sections by color.
- MetaFilter is "the blue".
- Ask Metafilter is "the green".
- MetaTalk is "the grey", though occasionally thought to be brown by people with weird monitors.
