this is a episode one hundred and eighty four of the men of filter monthly podcast i am josh cortex malarkey

yes and we are here talking eh oh it's april twenty eighth ah and the last one we did on like april tenth april eleventh we were late there were getting in early here we don't know

it was it was it was a

yes exactly and now we can now we can have a nice condensed one in terms of time span that doesn't mean we won't talk for ninety minutes but you know who knows i'm but yeah i'll i'll pretend to have a high cap that far but i okay that sounds good

i'm number is it remind me what a magic numbers it seems like so i feel like i should go

the p the article

it's the number of nuclei on such a narrow range get complete shells all right but it's not one of the seven most widely recognized magic numbers i guess it says less widely known magic number

okay i just got fucking look it up what is the magic number of fire magic it's the lower layer magic number this is magic numbers for a like physics physics you did but like i i i heard i feel like magic number is also like a mathematical it is term and i can't remember ah yeah

well it's a chemical time to i guess like scientist really liked the idea of calling something magic because it lives

a boy yeah i should not just sit here and read a wikipedia on air

well i don't like judgments on here but you know that then i'll start time a lot of talk about this week is fair use

there's also a wikipedia article about highways numbered one eighty four i'm gonna go ahead and link to that fair use tell me about fair use well i am tell me what's on your mind off her use i know i'm going to canada tomorrow which you know sounds like a lot but it's actually a little it's easier to get to canada then boston with the atlantic

exception of having to download and in order to go to canada

which is a little weird what's so is it like a passport supplement app or it's like you answer a bunch of questions via the app and then you get a q our code and then they can kind of determine what they still need to know from you and it also includes like your vaccination status and you know how you feel

and today and you know all these all these things i'm so i'm going to montreal which is close for the young lawyers division of the vermont bar associations winter afar

and the keynote speaker it will be the first public talk i've given since two thousand nineteen like to people as ocular to to zooms sure i'm pretty excited about it

i i don't have the accompanying terror that i feel like i should have um but maybe is two three years older now and maybe that doesn't happen anymore and i'm they were basically like what do you want to talk about and i'm like what like that never happens usually they're like oh we want you to talk about this and you

usually it's something i only kind of want to talk about and i make it work but this time i'm like i don't know how their lives and so i'm going to talk about like my different experiences and fair use including a malt shop getting sued by copyright trolls

media being against fair use and some substantive ways because it's not free enough i'm and not watching a friend of mine's facebook live stream get shut down as soon as they started playing a little video on their phones that had copyrighted music and she's like literally the entire

fire thing just like stopped and kicked everybody out and everyone was like what happened and then you had to find your way back to a new stream a et cetera same yeah so various is a land of contrasts and hum and it's weird because fair use is that the same in canada but i'm speaking to american lawyers this is kind of a

i'm a like a

like a social slash continuing ed thing for them and so they do it in montreal so they bring the family up and it's fun

so my thoughts about fair use and it's only like a thirty minute talk forty five minute talk which for me is like as you know just getting started so uh

i've had to really keep it keep it tight which is i'm not not my not my strength but i'm looking forward to trying it yeah

it's it's it's it's useful and educational be forced into a concision i think so

and the talks at eleven and you know we can argue about whether it's useful to try and force yourself into waking up early so that you can get paid a lot of money for work and i i think so but you know i usually wake up and eleven and this talk is at eleven

so we'll see how that goes

well that seems that seems worth it

i think so i mean it's definitely worth it or i would have said no but like

oh if if only that were always true about things and large if we could just say with confidence that everytime you know i would have said no if this wasn't worth it you know

the plural sometimes you don't realize until a little bit later

or sometimes as often happens to me like i would have said no if there was another living person who could have done this and now i realize i have to teach other living people out it'll do for now i'm just gonna do the thing

you know we have to a plate upload the agenda for the conservation commission meeting to the town website within forty eight hours before the thing or else it's illegal because of you know open meeting laws and are a secretary

is taken a couple of months off because she's doing work stuff she got a new job so it turns out nobody else knows how to do that but me what's it like up there

ah but really all right

i'm just a troubling my inner peter for burgers and they are today oh yeah

that seemed less shocking for vermont

ah than somebody not being able to use a website idaho no no no no than than snow but yesterday would have been here although we had snow this month so who knows

or should we talk about the medical stuff like filter mean if you want to we don't have to we can

could just go full we can go full article ah what is it uncle grandpa bad great uncle but i think i don't know what you're talking i i'm going on us swerve but okay so this is this is the

this is the cell sir

so fulfilling a tangent ah so i i mentioned my brother my brother and me before part guess i drew listen i got third point was her knowing those guys existed in a mini league on the trivia most beautiful

their their usual format for the podcast is bill just sort of start talking about something for

you know five ten fifteen minutes up front like they'll get into some sort of do spend those who are run with it and then they'll like fairly organically decided okay you know what we have to actually started the podcast know i'm and then they did one where they started talking about a movie

maybe it was called uncle grandpa i don't know maybe but anyway ah something grandpa um maybe be a grandpa is the name of a band something involving grandpa that they ended up like talking for like ten minutes about like okay with what we should get the show but you know the other thing about this movie

he is and then they talked about some more and then like pretty soon they were half an hour in and mix dog and started the show and they're just like committed and they just spent the entire fucking episode he did nothing good they normally do they just kept talking for like forty five minutes an hour about like whatever that bad movie was and ah so i was gonna say we could poll we could pull

and like an uncle grandpa but hey i don't know if uncle grandpa even the name of the thing be why would you or anyone else necessarily get that reference and see we probably shouldn't because it's not like we have a juicy thing to talk about here to get distracted for an hour on no absolutely nothing juicy that we could talk for

i mean we're starting this will hide yes that to forty and we've just been dishing about the various things before we get record none of which we are going to continue to talk about i applaud her daughter to are lemon list or a you know there's there's they're one of the nice things about having a you know

decade and a half long you know friendship and working relationship is you can do a lot of a discussing inventing about nitty gritty stuff in a way that is appropriate for like that sort of friendship situation and not appropriate for talking on my to the entire internet so sorry or broadcasting and you know and

belo ball always going to be down fashion another thing somebody could start this was also the first podcast we are going to have somebody else help us engineering and the reason i mentioned that is because at some future point it would be nice to be able to get back to having transcripts again

so if one of our eleven listeners is interested in helping that that might be a thing for noise that could help set up but i think doesn't want to manage i'm you know cause that's how it was working before with whatever that wacky software was uh we had what will you know had been there was some software for like doing group work bit by bit on trump

groups and stuff and i think that's still out there and still available i'm

just like it's a fair amount of work but it just takes a while to transcribe stuff so like shirt an argument apologists means a lot of hours of volunteer labor doing the lifting and piping which people are down for get back to it fucking great it's great i'm there's also stuff like otter dot

right i i i i was unhappy with like the results when we threw it at it because it was just like it felt like so much of a mess but also i don't need to be the person making that decision if it's if it's more useful than nothing then like making a point of doing that are regularly right it might actually be a great idea like maybe somebody else would feel pardon me

the amount of work it would require to do something like that might be better like like tidying up something like that might be better slash easier than doing it by hand maybe i don't know but you know like in the in the spirit of a you know trying to think more about like direct community involvement

and stuff and and making volunteer label labor and more a practical part of stuff like that's that's a good fit for it because it's like it's not something that requires a great deal commitment it's not something that requires a great deal of wrangling it just takes you know someone doing a little bit of sort of work and a bunch of people doing the little bit of

the work just because they have the time and inclination you don't have to know how to code and it'll increase the level of accessibility of these pie cash which you know i'm always happy when podcast transcript so why wouldn't other people

yeah so we'll see what happens her but yeah no i'm excited about that yeah i'm we'll we'll see how the whole process goes with having someone not me do it i'm right i don't want to call them out yet because maybe at work right now thankfully

if it goes on to like a you know actually them with them this was an on the record as a disaster am

but ah but still that's that's the plan and i'm looking forward to it and ah yeah one more one more thing off off the plate i'm increasingly i i i i'm very close to being like done with responsibilities now which is silly you say so

source that well but you are i've chucked awful lot of boxes there's there's still a little things to do but like you know most of the stuff that would have had me as an intermediary or a bottleneck is now we're not and i'd well that's awesome see yeah that feel quite next bottleneck seems like stuff going to happen without a site depending on me and that's

yeah that's just that's a good change in like one of the necessary useful things here so a lot of that has done which is great you know there's still other stuff to do but ah

but it's not everything hinges on me which is extremely good pace dream lee freeing for me and ah i've been getting a lot of reading done of in the making smart playing some video games i'm

and just sort of like adjusting like it's weird it's weird not to be working much of and that just like the way i have thought about structuring my day around like when i'm working and some of these sort of like mental gymnastics that go with like you know

being ready for dealing with this or that and us like you know not wanting to get into this before you know or or whatever like you know there's a lot of that head space management you do around like what you have coming up that like

a lot of that head space management feels very big in place even without the like jobs shifts now so it's kind of a weird thing of unpacking like the things that like i'm doing to like you know work around a shift it's not there and it's like oh i don't need to do that structural work around that i could just like you know that like in principle do whatever the fuck i want today in practice

you know brings a little more complicated i got to sort of figure out how that's gonna work but ah

i just i'm going and sitting on the couch and reading has been happening a lot more which is like a nice change

yeah i'd like two big bags of apples when i went to the supermarket earlier this week cause i make applesauce pretty much regularly but then i didn't make applesauce yesterday or the day before which means really because i'm gonna be gone for a couple of days today's

but also you know i've got some international travel coming up and so yeah we'll see how that goes it's windy as hell outside though so not as appealing for a really long walk

you know if you if you spell apple sauce with a b stop you could call it the apple sauce

that mean anything to you know it's a thing of the object darker bunch a i'm just not person

ah i'll see if i can find a hospital

no idea to me well okay i'll i'll i'll uh i'll find i'll find a video with it

for what

it's you know the words i said imagine imagine someone singing those words to ah i think it must be a lil mass ex song

i'm isn't

here's here's it's it's just it's i have no idea where this came from it's like a ten second long random bit of da de gu furry and it shows up in a lot of tick tock videos because that's the perfect like sound to put behind a random tick tock and that's all i can tell you if you spell apple sauce with

to be you call it baffles us that's the entire thing but the entire thing i have now watch the entire thing i don't know what i just watched and send your comments are turned off i definitely don't know and i have no idea if that video is in any way the source or just yet another person doing something with that audio it seems likely i'm anyway

i'm sorry what the fuck are you talking about i'm i was just them out of the canada making applesauce is probably only thing i have to fit into their remaining hours of my day which shouldn't be that difficult but maybe let's get a move on right okay yes let's start with led project making this baffles a lot of projects seen by old timers

i know that i appreciate it including ryan g is making a moon milk is making these little guy

little little ah ancient animal sculpture yeah look very similar in some ways to the little guys from last month

i believe that hedgehog gets knocked a similar but i checked the date and it's not the same

just different we little guys yeah and then i'm a fraying who you remember familiar yeah i'm basically a you know made websites did community was just dealing with a bunch of shit left the bay area started growing hemp and er

yeah now ah him and a heather

do a bunch of cds stuff farm stuffs ah this goes to their actual farm ah but you can kind of also follow them around on hum

on instagram and a bunch of other places a lot of a lot of cute

kill an animal pictures go and a goat i got out all you fascists born to lose bound to lose out which i don't think is available on their website anymore but you can get an or at goatee in bumper sticker

ah work hard keep going sticker and patriotic americans get vaccinated sticker and ah i was just happy to see a happy see derek around yeah he's a he's an exo guy too so i've had the

social contact with him over the years yeah that too which is nice and i i interact with him on that bird site and ah he's funny there are a lot of times or interesting or whatever

i'm boy yeah there was a what all was catching my eye well there's actually a very nice little game from malevolent is there's one thing i'm a little game called okay

yeah i that was on my list too yeah it's just the you know it's a it's a nice simple game made as a you know quick little a short timeframe thing and then yeah every time i see the full w t f u r l it just makes me smile i love it

and speaking of other old timers gross is here with some science and science thing always with the science science i always like seeing a girl's posts cause i never know what the fuck is actually going on with it cause i don't like nothing about like practical

so genetics should but ah but he's always doing it

basically it seems like it has to do with figuring out which parts of the gene i'm like viruses i think attached to our something

it looks super cool i don't understand it

he's the p eye on it

good for them and it speeds up a whole bunch of stuff that previously took forever

and it's i get hung up

so they're alive are some quick starts the f fake q has one question and ah yeah if you're a scientist science person you should check it out

get in on that sequence

well it happened i just i'm full of free so jay's is day i just reminded me and i i was i was starting to tell the story and then starting to wonder if i had told the story previously for some reason when a griff a they had a kid named helio and you know i'd been like

the i make him feel some sort of congrats thing about it and then i'd said or i guess i could say you've completed the helio sequence and he was like i don't know what that means as like oh wait there he lives equal to the local bands you wouldn't know who they are that's not a joke whoops

hey that's not a joke yes

did you see the griffin bind other

it was like a magical digital showing up on my fucking like you know social media feed like how is this possible how are these are these two good boys in the same place i remember if it was if i saw it on gracious is instagram or

other gems yeah but yeah a bond cliff was ah going to see some texture

it was on crack as as as he is wants to do

and ah and yeah well and i think that was um like they weren't new years shows that were postponed and so he will sign of in new york on a random time yup

and ah yeah i didn't i

i should have known that i kind of didn't know they knew each other like it makes sense that they would know each other but i don't think i've seen them interacting like a lot yeah

yeah i don't know

i would have to i would have to think through my my twitter conversations like this

i'm there's a post ah from valorous i'm some some simply small content it's been a while since i've talked about baseball but the the album called reunion tour that they contributed some songs who along with a bunch of other people that as a a collection of

of a bleak small music by people other than the sort of accidentally official baseball banned the garages who have also put out a ton of albums about baseball that i've talked about are you

the past so ah yeah get some baseball content get some get some ball music there

it's like you say

i also want to apologize in advance if my sound is fucking eat because like it was too loud and we installed like a little thing that will hopefully keep chrome from like auto adjusting but maybe it means it's all screwed up so sorry i'm summers and installed make me think like that like

like a stent or something

yeah i don't know why

oh i'm good place to start up again or something like that

benefit let me just saw a bunch of place ball content in the last week it's been off and on like they've been taking big breaks i don't know that it has started back up but there might have been some other thing going on i guess what i look at place called our see even saying anything

yeah so they're still they're still on a a break right now after i think maybe there was some stuff earlier this year i know there was some stuff last year um but yeah they've been kind of doing it like with intentional like stuff happening and then a break and and stuff happening and that our break i'm

and so yeah i don't i don't know why they're whatever the big whip up lately but who knows

i mean it could literally just be like one or two friends of mine from twitter that were like hey you know i'm excited about this this week for some reason but yeah yeah i don't know i i've been i've been not keeping like real close track

but ah i'm looking forward to the next time it spins back up and trying to get back into that fire hose of creative weird energy

yeah it's a good time

a a tournament i had the other specific things i wanted to pull out i'm oj here's to start a new a blogger has started a new blog a set side b i'm jay harris is like a bigger rope like nerd than i am a

well that's the thing like absolutely handley far and away i'm has always been a good source of you're just like your little dude in a dungeon carrying a sword and you pick shit up and put shut down ah but more so but yes i'm that

i it's a boy it's a it's a whole complicated thing like i mean really complicated as complicated as a history of people talking about what rogue like means has oh i should not place an over weaning fan group yeah like well it's like fifteen twenty years ago you said like what's a rogue like there was like a very straightforward set of answers and they mostly had to do with like

text based games and and don't get me wrong i have played and understand rogue i wasn't sure if rogue like encompass well yeah that's what he was like twenty years you a rope like encompass games that were very much like rope you know when people would have arguments sometimes about well is diablo a rogue like an other people were like no it's absolutely fucking not just because there's randomly

generated dungeons and items doesn't mean that like it's a rogue like you know there's your feelings right to is well and here's the thing in the ensuing twenty years there has been this renaissance of people using rogue like and then rogue like like or oh my god lights to describe oh my god racing

elements of these in a much there there are games that get called rogue likes that are arguably less of a rogue like than diablo is but there's also this sense of understanding of rogue like at this point meaning not games that are like net hack and rogue so much as games that contain significant elements of sharing randomized maps

or perma death or a randomized items or sort of like emergence you know generated no permit natural means you don't respond right right like i don't have actually any exactly yeah i'm at the other tons of games are using different bits of these elements in a lot of really fucking wonderful ways and then like

if the cost of that huge blossoming of fantastic sort of game programming ideas and just fantastic indie games coming out is like losing the specificity of that one fusty old term than that's a good deal so like i've given up on caring at all about what rogue like means per se outside of the

specific confines of having a good natured argument about it wish act like fellow idiots who are in an attack but like you know if it's not if ever if everybody's not on board with having that specific kind of narrow academic conversation then i just kind of like a just shut up about so ah

jay harris is one of the people that like i would be willing to have that like academic conversation with because i know he's coming from a place of like genuine knowledge and love about it so great and also able to kind of talk about it without it turning into just some ugly nerd fight yeah yeah

and and so we starting to give him about there you go around

there are two jobs a fact ex

yeah go for a one of them is very long ah it's from rock data the poster the duration the post actually um it's you know it's a government job and it was the u s g s water g u s g s water mission area hiring multiple ita

the people term information technology but they call it i t not kicked for reasons

but there is some specialist positions for doing usability research i'm in it sounds cool it's a very long post i'm so you'll have to check it out but it's like a government job that pays up from medium to good i'm maybe not for i t work i don't know seems good

yeah they've got some pretty serious diversity and inclusion transparency requests requirements and then it's a bunch of blah blah computer words but it's a trait for you it's a nice civic job and it pays really well and then a in contrast this job from nick i'm

ah helping a applets and stuffed it to see us just pasting little images twelve actors

looks nice

in london

contract job

the end

and those are all the jobs good good job or four weeks that that's what that's what they mean when they say the government put on the jobs support rape is just like biden sits down and read through some job openings

yeah in fact i am reading a book right now where part of like the central oh we're not alone on this frozen ice planet can see is like it's told from the perspectives of the people on the frozen ice planet and the people who are in the little pod circling above the top and the whole way

hey they become aware of each other is because there's like a little radio station on the planet and one of the things on the radio station as they just have somebody who reads the news and the people like into the little pot above the planet pick up that news and i'm like well yes and you know they hear like l a

reading the news now she's really good at this kind of nuts like i'm early in the book i'm but it's pretty good book so far and it's kind of adorable to have like a little like people listening to the radio while they're discussing you know while they're on sort of huge interplanetary generation ship level missions

let's see shall we discuss the posts of metal filter dotcom sure let me i'm not the one thing i did not do in all this time we were talking was ah bring up my face so ah why don't you start i'll bring it in their face and then we can ah

continue well here's here's here's a a pair of met a filter posts are from eleven days apart so one is a you on musk wants to buy twitter when the sun is the lawn musk is gonna buy twitter and ah those are both had a couple of hundred plus comments at it and

ah that's like ah this is like this is it this is the sort of thing that like i almost want to just like not bother putting like mentioning other podcast because it's just annoys me it's just stupid we can add a stupid no no no no i mean i've made a decision to like you know say hey here's here's some things like it's been a huge we sometimes say a thing

he regrets

and when it becomes clear that the thing he said didn't land the way he wanted still he'll be like just rewind pretend i didn't say that and i'm like that's not how language works but i say it enough that i assumed maybe lots of people have that problem so i just wanted to you know give you that option to know i appreciate no no no it's i i've got to talk about it because it's there

this huge is capable stupid thing um and you know it's

like what if what if you had a guy who was like really really rich and also just shitty like that's kind of the premise of a lot of stories i realize but the it feels like musk is like really trying to carve out like you know the hall of fame status on this shit

think part of mosques issue right is that like

he's neuro divergent he's deeply embedded in internet culture he's also wildly rich mostly because his parents were like shitty emerald mine shitty people from south africa he's not american buddies and i mean he's probably america now but like he's not from america so he comes

with a slightly lateral set of perspectives

he's also kind of a shitty person and he's a loud mouth which i feel like yeah it's it's that is one of the things it's like the there's a lot of like rich shitty people who like to have either just the lack of imp of the perverse or the good sense to not like it loosely be loud about it

yeah anyway so who knows what will happen with the twitter thing you know it's it's going to be a mess no matter what probably and there's a lot of conversation about it if you want a conversation and those two threads lot of movement towards like people saying okay time to try masted on her try method on again or go do another thing or what

ever and i'm i'm i'm really just not looking forward to this being a thing that's going to be like a topic of conversation for the next several months at least which is probably the kind of timeframe than an actual like completed purchase process will look like looked like six months yeah like like that seems like a reasonable sort of take on how we would normally work which

normally is such a loaded word in this case cause who fucking knows what's normal but it just feels like it it it it feels like the trump candidacy of bullshit the acquisitions you know like like anything you want to say about well but obviously x won't happen because really well

it obvious at this point is it actually clear can we actually recently say because of institutional you know

momentum and and and expectations blah blah blah because that didn't work great the last time we all tried to like rely on that so anyway that's my big random rent the blah blah blah about that that was talk about stuff that's fun let's talk about posts that i actually do

i don't know how i feel about it other than i wish it hadn't happened but like you know i'm probably one of those people who's like

i am not sure if i can go somewhere else you know what i mean like like i interact with a whole bunch of kind of not friends there in ways that you know a social network that's more based on friends' friends would be difficult for me like i have a mass it on account and i'd look back you know it to

remind myself what my log in as an a hole but i think i might opposite on dot social of all things i'm

but yeah i just i i don't i don't know you know i can simultaneously be like on mosque terrible person his acquisition of twitter terrible news for a number of reasons and also being like that and you know that feels weird to think about and i'm sort of differing

big decisions and also not dwelling on it but you know i did give it some thought nah i'm not really sure what i think beyond that yeah real it's one of the things we're like there is not there is not a simple one to one mapping where you can just like change cable providers like if you live in a town where you can change cable providers like you know theres and i don't yeah there's a point at which like you

yeah you kind of have to decide am i going to just go without this thing more than you can just say am i going to do this a different way unlike for me mess has always been nice and i actually have been consistently using it for several years now but like it took some effort and it wasn't just like replacing twitter for me like i've stayed active on twitter as well and charity

i've got a bigger footprint on twitter

i'm but like you know found people on us what like some medical typical came over to mass done most of them didn't stay active but i found other people who were there who were like there because they wanted to be there rather than them because there were wanted to not be somewhere else and you know so i've got my own sort of thing going there but it doesn't it certainly doesn't replace the twitter network i have it's just a difference

separate place that i also like that ah has a little bit of overlap and yeah like that's you know those are two different things and

yeah there's things that i would not be able to easily replace if i just like neuf my twitter account which is frustrating but also i'm kind of in the camp of like you know i will be here in pill the most to go fuck himself whatever the thought occurs to me and you know i did chime in on one of his you know gillian combat

in threads on twitter are being like i don't think you understand the first amendment yeah cause i got so fucking these

god i can see why you couldn't to be so loud and so in curious and have like billions of dollars to throw around in support of that is just so it's a stupid world we live in a stupid rule we're stupid people are rewarded for some stupid acts and that's it's it's frustrating when when one lets

one's mind to dwell upon it

i'm going to start saying everything using one and i'm going to slip into the super fussed be a high register

one can go fuck oneself let's talk about harder drives ah this is not a post i made because someone else had already made it a couple of weeks earlier as i found when i went to make it like a day or two ago

um this is a post then gargoyle made this this is a a half hour longer so video a ghost by tom seven as soon as name around but i don't know much about him but he makes fun in gauging weird content basically and this is a video where he proposes three different

methods for making sort of bad hard drives for no good reason using unlikely devices and so one of the things he uses is a the internet using the fact that opinion carries information with it

so you could use as a hard drive by sending pings out to servers with little like high latency so it takes a while to send it back so you don't actually have to be storing that information while it's en route to the server you're pinging and coming back and so you can just treat all of that stuff that's in transit app store emily in storage

if u s

this is real like it's it's i mean i understand that it's also conceptual but like he's not like us goofing no no he he he made all of these like it's definitely like it it's absolutely goofing but it's like goofing on the squares you know yeah yeah yeah he's he's doing like the videos like him documenting the process of working out each of these

things as actual proof of concept you know the other two things are using tetris emulators to store memory by creating specific arrangements of a solid an empty spaces on the tetris board and doing that for like four thousand simultaneous tetris emulators which led

him create enough memory to store the rom data of tetris itself and then run that on and emulate later

hum which is a nice coup fed than a than a oh yeah used used coded nineteen tests of a microchip in and enabled one wiring a shit load of those together to build and chip diller

them do like these are fancy ones they like cost prohibitive like two hundred bucks for the test her box and then sixty five bucks for each one used plastic microchip laden

goofy anyway that video is delightful it's languages

yeah he he he he talks good he writes good it's it's just it's very good i enjoyed it a great deal of videos a lot of fun to watch it's a case where it actually is a half hour video looks like a half hour worth of video content rather than just someone taking you know a ten minute long piece of text and reading it on cam

um it's it's it's very nice i enjoyed it a great deal and you should go check it out that's my take

let's see what else do i have a shorter list this month ten years well partly because this month was shorter for us than usual i i'm i really liked this post a tightly for the conversation i'm from dancing leaves about doctors dismissing concerns of women

oh ye of color and non binary people and how you can deal with and manage that medical gas lighting and it's nice i like it because it's kind of a big tent threat because it sort of initially about women people of color and non binary but other people chime in with you know concerns they have like with them

history you know pelvic exam specifically you don't have like both of those things have that need for like a trauma informed perspective ah there's people talk about that in the thread you know people who are fat off and get like halfway to buy their doctors and you know it's a conversation obviously it's slightly difficult i'm

obviously i'm and there's a it gets a little too much talking about dentistry maybe but i'm just in general it was kind of a friendly friendly conversation about you know how you can make a sort of medical and dental procedures less

less hum

more just i take is is actually the better way to put it right like there's a lot of doctors who get this right but there are many who get it very wrong and who are in positions of power where you know you have a bad experience the doctor when you see the salon and ask them to filter and a lot of times people are like i'm not totally sure how to deal with this like you know are

my regular doctor maybe but they did this thing that was completely inappropriate or problematic or you know i have some complicated health issues and they just dealt with me as if i was some you know route one person with a root one issues i don't appreciate that like you know it's not about practice but it's definitely of concern and i

think a lotta people have a hard time figuring out how to manage that so i appreciated i'm

i appreciate it ah i appreciated the thread yeah yeah i really like it was a good conversation like that it's like it's one of the things that feels like

uniquely really nice

as far as like this kind the conversations medical that can produce like i i enjoyed goofing about stuff with people that's kind of my whole posting inclination most of the time check i'm but there is something there is something a little special won't be able to get into like a sort of harder and more regulatory conversation like that with the

with the confidence of like it's not going to just immediately inherently turn into like the worst kind of shit show him like it's depressing that that feels like a like

discerning feature discriminating feature know i know it's it's true you know it's it's a good thing it's something i appreciate a lot yeah typical issues without a whole bunch of people being like have you tried yoga kind of shelter which you know definitely earned on the larger internet and i mean you'll you'll like it still p

please they're still like things that feel like the obvious someone was going to say that but like it's nine steps up from like the sort of shootings he replies on twitter every single fucking time and both yeah i'm well i don't relate on twitter because librarian twitter isn't like that but i don't see a lot of it directly i mostly see it when other

are people i know who have different standards of impulse control for later be engaging with shit heads and the sharp twitter likes to highlight when my friends respond to something shown so then i get to see up in a sort of second order way yeah

i definitely have a couple like old man yells at clouds friends on twitter and it's hard cause you know i respect their right to do that that is one thing the bird site is for but also i'm like twitter is having this on my face and don't yeah

nobody has to tell me how i can adjust the four settings that twitter has to make it not do this because it's on balance i'd rather have it than not have this feature but still yeah yeah yeah

here's a post by a curious knew about ah this crazy sort of leave calligraphy thing i'm

doing basically gold ah

arabic script on ah the desiccated just the draw remains of leave and it's just it's just like simple but not easy like it's a it's a simple concept and this is just like a twitter account collecting together a bunch of examples of the stuff i'm

a lot of which from some poking around i think was like this maybe some of it more contemporary some of it is you know older

but it's just like it's it's it's a great concept and it just looks gorgeous and it wasn't anything that i'd never seen before so that's a that's a pretty good outcome oh man what a what a what a interesting throwback i think i told you that like my ah then husband got a i'm one of the sultan's signatures

the tattooed on his shoulder and the thing that only kind of a twenty some odd year old white man could do and i'm very curious kind of if he still has the statue though we are not still in touch and looking at these they're very evocative of you know i mean i get it you kind of fall in love with us wherever we pattern if you're somebody

not from that culture but that was a thing that maybe thirty years ago you might then go get a tattoo of words it's a thing nowadays i think most people wouldn't you know yeah a stop and yeah about that yeah stop stop the that but it still has it evokes that for me and also

ah ramadan pass over easter yeah if i was will continue sense i don't think so i think that was in between yeah i went to the first layer cause you were talking about going to a a and it turned out okay i took by coated the first open tests i have taken during this whole thing

think i'm jim took his covert tests we were all fine we went to a twelve person everybody doubled tested passover and i was a little concerned it was gonna be weird and it turned out to be great we met like my friend's daughter's boyfriend who was lovely and i got to sit next to do and he told me all about his watch

action and i was like you are my kind of nerd kid and i'm you know he's like twenties got to watch collection what like him and his girlfriend are in britain watch is why like it was just and you know food was good jim can read hebrew which is cool so he got to read all the parts of our guys that were in hebrew because he was the best hebrew reader

i was so proud of him i'm and it just it was just a really nice time until i was i was grateful for it

but and now all the easter candy seventy five percent off

many chocolate eggs stashed around my eyes you know i i got there there's so much easter candy that i don't actually particularly like oh yeah most of it's awful

yeah it's like it's like a it's a mixed bag they're cheap though yep

ah i like this a hippie better post that just has i'm opening numbers for tony awards when neil patrick harris has hosted and they're just all fun you know and they have a heavy very links to some

some of his um

like some of the opening numbers he's in some peace not i'm and you know his opening monologue and it's just you know if those are the things that you love oh my gosh what a fun bunch of joy they were short threads you know not a ton of people yeah i'm writing and i'm but just you know what a guy

great thing to track down linked together and share it with people whose lives

um it what i was really happy to see a post a libyan made a post about the fortieth anniversary of laurie anderson's big science

why people were tweeting about her a couple of days ago oh okay yeah i didn't even predict we notice that i'm yeah that would make sense ah yes this is the album that i really love

i i i'm sure i've talked at length about aspects of it on the bar goes i'm not even going to do it but you know it's a it's the album that oh superman is on which is like the one more interested in song that people generally know if they know any right ah but aren't like a laurie anderson fan

but ah the whole thing is very good and lend right you did the cover of it yeah yeah i do the cover of ramen like thirteen years ago i think it was which jesus fucking christ i know i'm but a but a whole it's a great album is a great album to listen to today

because a lot of it is like stuffed it feels like justice resident as it was at the time and also it's got such a unique and stripped down sound like it's not an album that sounds dated like if you think about like oh yeah that's that album from the eighties a lot of albums sound like they're from the eighties but this album doesn't sound like anything else so it just sounds like big science

sounds like laurie anderson doing her very specific thing right which is great well and i'm i'm too fond of in a mentioned the laurie anderson norton lectures that she did at harvard really recently and in fact it was one of the things that gemini soft during you know sir

out of a it felt to me that maybe it wasn't sort of like heightened covered restrictions she did these lectures but they were specifically on zoom and so it was kinda cool because obviously she's a great speaker but she really made that like making the talks be very laurie anderson

an issue over zoom yeah was it's own cool thing and it was weird because i'm one of the things she talked about in one of these lectures the one that i attended and they're all recorded and you can go see them and you should um was public libraries and so it was very into and she had one specific

set of negative interactions based on a fundamental misunderstanding of how the network of public libraries works in this country which is not surprising i'm but she talked about it and it was really interesting for me because

it was like laurie anderson misunderstood that and then she went on to make some sort of comment and the comment was a slightly negative commentary on something not libraries but just kind of i thought libraries would be cooler and in fact third less cool than i thought and then i was like oh now everybody's got to see that and

then i had to be like you know i think maybe just going to let it go and not be like a grumpy person on twitter being like laurie anderson who is like ninety nine percent lovely you know misunderstood up saying that i happen to know a lot about and you know

but it's interesting because it's really stuck with me like i took a screenshot of it and i still think about it sometimes it had to do with the things she wanted to do at libraries she couldn't get uptake from a couple big libraries for this thing she wanted to do and then kind of extrapolate it to all live

breweries that they are they're not interested in this thing

and it was just like i just felt weird about it i continue to feel weird about it

but the lectures themselves are just astounding in kind of what you can do on zoom if you give a shit you know what i mean from artists and creators and musical people i'm so i i highly recommend it and yes this thread cool

ah another thing that i liked because i first read about it

on met a filter and was very confused and i sort of appreciate a dirty old towns i'm

a framing it was the onion getting permanently banned from twitter and tweeting about being permanently banned from twitter and it was the kind of thing that really felt like

an april fool's joke or that it was maybe true but you are misunderstanding but in fact it was just a great cheat you know what i mean

it was it was it was it was it was

like it was the most move to twitter the old unit has ever been in terms of execution of a joke that was fucking perfect

yeah because you know the onion is funny i'm in general but i often think about them not as necessarily being as medium aware you know what i mean yeah that they just their website kind of who can also tweak kind of but a lot of their tweets are just tweets of stuff from the website and this was well that i interact with i don't enter

act with them like a ton i'm but this was just so yeah oh my god

or dependency people with like onions strong homes on their twitter icons

i love it i'm there is a chance

another posted someone beat me to a is a this is

i always worry that i'm going sound like i'm like chews off i'm actually just like recognizing the territory of thinking about posts and seeing things that are going oh it'll be good for medical there and it's like it's always a good proof of this has been working when i think this would be good for medical during the government of older and someone else already had that thought so this is not this is not me being like you know fuss about it

i enjoy having this relationship with phone booth yeah i i didn't have to make the post and the post they'll go to exist because i wanted it to exist so this post specifically by a furtive if the ah animation a cold some and demons i'm that as a one bit black and white enemies

from video is now private oh is it well maybe i can find a different one and put it in a because it's extremely good i'm er wonder what happened there all to try and look it up

um anyway well then take my word for it it's a beautiful beautiful you said you had a different you tube you are all when you were initially hosted so many find that i'm he might have also just like updated what the available thing was but a just just a link to something for contacts and there's fire done nudity in it tell me more

ah the there's um

the whole thing how sort of like a summoning a demon vibe of like a just a girl sitting on the floor in a room and like doing it in conventional repair the grandmother it goes like sort of through the looking glass and into a big ah

hallucinogenic a psychedelic journey through land of like demons and strangeness and that includes some brief a male and female nudity among some of the people would be demons involved

i'm yeah

so anyway yes as the dining room to morales has been doing really really great black and whites arts a weird stuff for very long time so i'll link to his website in the the thing here but yeah anyway i really like the thing that maybe won't to watch but uh maybe i'll remember to look

find it and fix it pixel nudity than i like this a very ah short and to the point post by a dragon drinking and ah basically damon young black man writer contributes the washington post sometimes people email him one guy basically

gave him a bunch of weird shit about ah you know you do good work don't don't try to sound like you were still in the street because he use the word like eight and he said them white boys instead of those white boys and ah basically ah

jamie young writes a response not at all interested and have it get and the first sentence is i am better at this than you are at everything you do and when

just goes down and it's just kind of a tape down about you know this is why i'm writing this like come on blah blah blah blah blah and it's just it's a great combination and i always appreciate people who are like

yeah let me just owned how good i am at the things i do and

let me just tell you

how good i am at the things that i do or are you know as they say clapping back

well speaking of things that

i don't know how to sing we work this is a dumb post are made of ah the the introduction to a half life a video game from nineteen ninety eight to flick you know big influential a piece of video game history and one of the many things that were sort of interesting than it did with her had this opening sequence it was like a credit sequence

where you just wrote a tram into and through a an industrial facility a half before the game actually starts and jews is getting through like a tour of the facility much of what you will then find your way through on the way so it's just kind of showing you what what you're going to be seeing as you yeah but it's like it's staged of like a introductory tram ride

into a facility as if you are an which you are and the game you're an employee who works here before everything goes crazy with turns into shooter i'm but like you always done with the sort of computerized a fish

sounding voice giving this like boring tour a centrally and reminding you of your safety guidelines or whatnot like it's intentionally not an exciting scene right right it's just it's just a scene setting slow mo yeah yeah which was kind of like a clever thing for them to do at the time it was someone recently a reply ready to march

odd for half life that replaces the original voice acting with the tick tock voice the texas speech voice the one that talks like this you know and i know nothing about the same as if you watch some tech talks you will sometimes hear a slightly mechanical are usually female chipper voice

reading text that appears on the screen because you could do that instead of having to actually talk do voice over or whatever on your doctor you can just use text speech to have the app to talk instead and so i've got like you know a siri like a boy just reading stuff yeah and it in classic ai

forgive me for saying in classic computer generated fashion like the the actual sound of the voice has gotten better and better over time ah but it's ability to capture inflection is completely absent so like you know if you wrote something like you know oh my dad died today and had texas

he's right it was like my dad died today you know like there's just like this vague

on uninfected sort of cheerful this that runs through it's like having that read through the ah the intro a spiel from half life is a

weird and unsettling and funny enough to make a post about but also something that like makes me wonder like

is this going to land at all the same way for someone who didn't play half life back then

as it is for someone who's got like like a specific cultural memory too or is it just going to sound literally like oh well yeah that's what it would sound like if they had it talking i don't know like it's

this is the thing that i need to like mine the brains of like you know nineteen year olds on tick tock to really great right right

anyway yes

so i yeah

talk about your dumb post i'll talk about my dumb post yeah hey i made two posts this not to vote one was a long time ago and i did not like it as much as i like this post which is basically about two young dudes who flew a modified cessna

round and around the desert for sixty four days to set in endurance record in nineteen fifty eight through nineteen fifty nine absolutely out of control ridiculous i heard about it on she killed a closet pod casts that kind of summarize the story and then i went and tried to track down aspects of the story

in different places on the internet and of course one of the things that's so great is people in the thread ah you know no more about planes than me for more than is actually written i'm you know in these posts and could bring you know more more information

to to the thread itself which i which i enjoyed

and ah

yeah what's what's the line

that a a next one of the guys people talk to him by that later you know ever thought about doing it again he's like next time i feel in the mood to fly indoor and so i'm the lock myself in a garbage can with a vacuum cleaner running and then have bob served me t bone steaks chopped up in a thermos bottle that is until my psychiatrist opens for business in the

yeah yeah it was uncomfortable

yeah man

by all accounts

that's a terrible idea i mean go with them but also god jesus christ yeah it was just you know trying to raise awareness about playing safety and also advertise for a vegas hotel

at the same time because to traditionally closely coupled of course it was up so yeah i have to thank again whoever it was in my recommend me some pod casts a question ah for recommending she told the closet because even though it to like not any not there anymore

tied cast in fact i can figure out who this is

a fighter fleet suggested this was basically like you know it's not it's not there anymore it's you know they don't make new ones but there's a lot of ones old ones to listen to excuse me scratching my ear and um they also had these lateral thinking puzzles you know where there's kind of like a weird situation someone to school

that's it you ask yesterday questions to figure out what's actually going on and jim and i like doing those i've been on a losing streak with scrabble lately which is just making me sad and like it'll come around again but like when i'm busy i don't maybe feel like losing a scrabble game right then so having sort of a you know little puzzle thing when we can we can play where there's not

really a winner or loser

it's it's good

until those are fun and so i heard about the story i made a post about the story was great i had no idea

well i think ah unless i live like five more posts i made this month which i don't need to do ah we should probably just move on to ask medical sounds great

new shoes they the

new zoo

oh well new

those who do

one of these great a list generating a questions what have you got in your pockets by robin of locksley basically like sure we all like pockets we all want pockets but are there things you regularly keep in your pockets not like the stuff you have to shove in your pockets because you need

them but like other things you keep like i think i've mentioned this to you before but my sister always keeps a buck for a buck fifty and quarters in the front pocket for pants yeah always meet you says always and it's it's not actually always which is itself very interesting because it's like her thing and she says i always do this but every

now and again i'm like do you have a quarter i did it for just like i don't i'm like what about the buck fifty and corridors your

i'm but yeah soak you don't people carry like handkerchiefs and rubber bands and camping cups and dog treats and

no glasses wipers receipts ah you know chap stick it cetera et cetera et cetera but it's like kind of an interesting an interesting thread where you kind of learn about how people handle their pockets i like it

yeah i don't pick a keeper knew my pocket

what what you do well you i my phone my phone is usually in my pocket but that's yeah that's on the letter that like you know and and i put my keys in my pocket if i'm leaving the house for them to come home i take them out of my pocket and put them on my desk every once in a while i will have a hair clip in my pocket but my hair

was down but i'm expecting to put it up yeah i'm and that's kinda it like yeah i don't have stuff i carry around in my pockets besides that yeah no for me it's like stuff i find during the day so like you know change i find in the street change i get for stuff like receipts but i don't leave

the house was stuffing my pockets except except for like again my phone like a handkerchief to wipe my drippy eyes when i'm outside in the wind kind of um my my mask obviously a yeah i usually have them in a coat pocket sword but i guess i guess those count too well and have

like a mini backpack i carry around a lot that ah i believe i told you someone said i looked like a kindergarten or with it you

very much suppose a friend i'm but yeah and i have a whole bunch of stuff tossed and that in fact part of my plan today for my trip is getting everything out of the tiny backpack and making sure it's in my laptop bag because i'm bringing my laptop with me

but yeah

oh and i did want to mention ah

one i'm not a filter posts that i enjoyed a lot this past month which was we all dish on netflix

because there is a lot of people you know mr seltzer i feel like more than an average community has a lot of people that are heavily involved in online content you know and their content consumers and a lot of cases and so a lot of people both are heavy users of and also kyle

kind of sick of netflix but also use a whole bunch of other you know like you know maybe they've got hbo max or apple tv plus plus or cnn plus plus plus or like whatever these properties or hulu and so it was a really good thread of people who know talk

can about ah you know streaming online content and i learned about a online content ah

a streaming site that i didn't know about which is having or was having us fail a which is called mh h choice which has a whole bunch of really interesting stuff on it and i may actually dropped my net of netflix a

down to a lower category start picking up m h e choice and a very nice me fait offered me access to his plex so thanks for that or and ah so now i'm that's how i'm watching before a again

yeah but it was a fun thread a lot of people talking about netflix i appreciated it did did you get around to actually watching server and not yet it's so it's still on the todo list you should so we can talk about it cause i finished watching it it was really good how long does it it's like nine episodes okay that's not bad yeah no i was busy finishing watching our flags

means death or so ago what's it ends on kind of a

like there better be a second season because i think there's a fucking grim if there is no second season you know what i mean but if there is a second season that ending is okay but there isn't a second season scheduled yet so yes very stressful ah yeah

severance next step yeah do it do it then i'll watch the pirates you okay all right good talk i'm

let's see uh oh i did i i i got around to asking the question that i said during last probably because there's ask and then forgot what it was and then someone eventually reminded us in them at a talk

question one of the weirdest way possible so nobody could figure out what you were looking for you know here's the thing i as i asked that

i found myself trying to explain exactly what i was looking for and realizing that like it's the idea in my head is a little bit fuzzy and undefined and like

when we talked about it last month but then i read this and i was like what

so and that's the thing i like i don't know if i don't know if i could convey the last month or i guess it was still was my last podcast whatever hum yeah

so yeah i don't know like i i feel like i sat down and wrote this and rewrote a little bit and it's like am i going to make this clear and was like nope this is what i got right now i'm just gonna go for it and you know i got

are useful thing

no there were a couple of things i remember i i i'd have to go through in like read through it again to pick out the stuff that felt like it was most on point but there were a couple of things that hit the specific thing i was looking for well as a lot of people sort of talking usefully about things that are like maybe not quite what i was asking but fall in the same general jr anti people who aren't reading better just listening this was about

core cortex talking about record us and how that was a weird both general term and not a term that would be used by people who are actually hyper specifically working in the fields kind of was that yeah accurate yeah yeah yeah and like what other things are like that where do you have that sort of thing of a utility catch all term that his sword

as distinct from rather than just also covering ah the individual roles which is it's it's a weird thing to pin down like it i don't like his answer which was just compliance because i do think of that as being weirdly similar to how i took you to be meaning yeah

yeah well and i think there might be like

i i still don't know what the fuck consultants do like i mean i know it a

ah well okay let me let me be clear like i know what consulting is as a concept and i hope i will be you mean like if you're somebody like you or clerical very like well yeah i've i've i've had like friends who like their job is oh what do you do oh i'm a consultant you know i'm in consulting and like i i couldn't talk and they in for and what the name is adamantly alton which is yet

rent than what i do which is like freelance nonsense

yeah and it's like it's it's one of those things that just like it it has remained outside my field of experience enough that i still don't feel like i know exactly what the fuck have to be now i think every business consultants they just don't like to say business consulting because that makes it or inc yeah they help businesses be more business he yeah

anyway so i did that i did the thing i asked the thing people did their best to answer my strange question and and bank you know this law

all all that what yeah thanks old ah i enjoyed this question that was from ah just yesterday from evil mom lady oh i may have linked to the specific comment but you can remove the craft at the end of this sir why don't i just move remove the craft and now it'll be there to it yeah i'm like so they really worrying thing here is that the that no one needs to know about but i'm going to

all you because it's managed to come up as it when you paste a individual comment like that with the enlightened thing on it it totally breaks my parser and i have to like excise that laser shows so you're helping it's it's it's it's it's not a reasonable thing to expect you to worry about like you're placing of are around for murder

okay of critical condition now i'm kinda

i can't make enough noise with my hands for the choke okay that's fair bad stuff a mess i s m r i don't know what it is a s m r asynchronous meridian response or something

i think so i'll look it up

and it's hard to answer even rainy and really buys i've already looked at who you're talking to your hair i don't know i don't get that was legible tingling sensation let me get out i'll you that right now

in fact it makes me aggravated because they can't hear very well and i'm always like what what fucked

there's a whole fucking like a

i mean there's a shit load of a s m r content on every platform basically you can find very weird like algorithmically generated premises for a summer contents like that are clearly how these channels are generating their content right ah but on tick talk to like all all be looking through tick tock talking sometimes it'll bring up someone's like live stream

him and like half the fucking time it's somebody doing a them or when it just sitting at a microphone looking into a camera and like cream filling some papers pulling their fingernails over the the mesh on the microphone it's like

this must be doing it for someone but right not content this is was like this is like i mean honestly i never ever come across a live content thing on tick tock that is a shit it's that or it's someone opening packs of poke them on cards or it's someone streaming a movie

sideways like just straight up like oh i guess maybe people that with lion king oh watch lion king sideways on this with this other person yeah it's it's it's such it's such a strange pile of like chum on a platform that already has like you know way too much content and then there's a specific way that people are trying to

last i don't understand it like it's just strange

yeah so cipher whispering

but basically evil mom lady has a house guest house guest wants to make soup evil mom lady pulled out and appropriate cooking vessel and said this is my biggest cattle and houseguests just like cattle that's a pot and they're start the discussion about whether where you're from and whether to you

cattle can be both like a pot kind of thing more like a cauldron or just like a thing you boil water and on the stove to make tea kind of thing interesting like i'm firmly in like no a kettle is a a thing you boil water is like a t well i phone

earlier with a cattle is being like like kettle corn like a huge cauldron kind of thing that you make like sugary popcorn and samples yeah but i i don't ever use it like that to me it feels like an archaic word and so there's just a lotta people chiming in and evil mom lady literally a eight minutes ago

yeah their comment as today i learned that one of my regular everyday where it is mostly considered quite tiny rural archaic and possibly a little bit swedish i am not entirely displeased as an ok outcome yeah so that all worked out nice i guess kettle corn and then like pedaling as like an abuse

the police tactic are ah oh yeah you know the only person i know who talks about that is corey doctor out of you

or age books and there was one of them that he wrote that just talks about killing like a lot and i'm like dude we get it like it's a it's a cop tactic

he you know you just like you he gathered a lot of discussion of cuddling in one confined space

i have a a

i have a i have a a ask me from two thousand and five hey that i want to mention ah because he linked it in response to me asking about like trying to

fit a bit trying to source flat heavy cheap things like that's the title discussions heavy flight and cheap ah how did this come around again because glenn f on twitter was trying to figure out just the heaviest possible priority mail box yes well and and spit certainly yeah who whoever that

i came from what i'd probably probably clan ah but but figured out in fact that it was impossible to go over the weight limit win anything on the planet yeah like we have we have known substance dense enough that if you filled up a priority a small primary little box entirely with it it would exceed the

seventy five pound weight limit or seventy pound weight limit yeah osmium which is you're not going to find cheap presumably but if you could find you know

seventy five cubic inches of it and cast it into one of those it would still only way like sixty pounds so there is nothing on the planet that can violate the weight limit on that but that got me thinking like okay well but if you wanted to do it cost effective what would that look like in your water that's sort of like the good choices and so always ask about that and then bond cliff was like oh hey hero

is this asked me from two thousand five

bank levy i've right on mac and then somebody told them how to lie in a hammock and he complained about it on twitter

which i respected

but i'm also like just link to your question did come on yeah get some answers while you're at it great

ah that's the entirety of my asked me content okay i have a couple different ones i'm this one from judge to act

ah basically like

the reading a book i didn't read twenty years i remember it at the time hitting me one way but now it hits me in a completely different way like what what what content that you liked

and you still may be like but your understanding it different like not like oh i read this but now i realize that guy's a creep kind of thing um and so basically

you know tell tell me what you got and it is a great threat of people re experiencing literature often from their childhood or young adulthood

you know how how would hit them how it hit them differently or what what they think about differently like you know i used to think calvin of calvin and hobbes his dad was kind of weird but now that i'm older i'm realizing he's actually pretty cool

that that kind of thing i'm

you know breakfast club i found everybody unrelated a ball but now i watched it again and i really felt differently you know i felt it in my gut now it's cetera et cetera and it's just a great thread of lots of people and you know and it's and it's great everybody gets a favorite ah or a best answer and i'm there's just a lot

of really interesting re reads of stuff from star trek to calvin and hobbes to the hobbit to grizzly man to i'm

oh just on reading grizzly to but some go to swim in

but yeah and then hum along those same lines just in terms of media you experience i'm read nikki is like look i'm sick i'm not able to really read a lot right now we've got a sick pet i'm really wanting to interact with content that is lower stakes less memory

not very intense not super loud it's not vet related and you know what i'm trying to you know what i'm what i'm trying to find so like gentle you know maybe reality stuff but not animal related what's com for me right now and so it's

the nice you know everybody says detector is steven universe kim's convenience that kind of stuff i'm there's a lot of there's a lot of good suggestions and my guesses read nicky's probably not the only one who could use that kind of a suggestion right everyone else is doing great every woman for time

the ruler the carnival of delights yeah

and i think those are i'm mostly i did want to point out the if you are somebody who's interacting with our flag means death i'm season one is on a fanfare and you know that a lot of conversation but some useful conversation about kind of how people help you

people felt about this i'm i think we absolutely need to say hearty good goodbye and thank you for everything to eyebrows

and keto and fold missed that i don't know if there's a single person who listen to the podcast who doesn't follow me to talk about it i just wanted to say lord you have been a delight to work with i wish you every happiness in where you're going and i hope everything works out great and ah the transition team actually made a post of their own

you're in case people are curious about how transition team things are happening and what they talked about and and how that's working yeah yeah there was an ied how to post sort of precision the talking about like the sort of bootstrap in coverage we are living up to that

and yeah this was a

yeah i guess it's been a busy couple of weeks husband i'm

yeah your eyebrows eyebrows are finding a job that is going to be like a fulltime news sort of persian thing is really great because notes it's something she's been trying to sort of like look out for a while and it's sort of furniture dreams of it which is fantastic

i'm it's

it's weird to be in a position about having as much of a i will miss working with you when i've already sort of like covered but for my worth or a with my own departure but what it is it's it's it's a weird sort of it's always such a weird sense of like changing of the guard when someone leaves them on to him because of this

such a small team of it's so true and

sort of close working relationship and how we deal with all this complicated stuff in the community so it's fantastic for her it's kind of a tricky weird thing for the rest of the team to have even more institutional knowledge going away but the

but you know she'll be around and and ah all the round so

it's doable

i'm and the other transition to himself i'm this was like one of the big sort of check marks i think we were like pre roll still when i'm talking about like a sense of getting stuff off my plate but like that's been the whole sort of ongoing project and the transition team is a big part of that we're giving them going at letting them sort of just take the wheel on stuff

a is a huge relief like not look like there's there's the relief of like moving away from my responsibilities which was i got a personal level but it's also it's a huge relief in terms of feeling good about letting go of something the matter so much me to like have a sense of people in motion who also really curbs

i'm sorry boy and are not just hoping for stuff to continue or to improve but like digging in on it and that's that's really great them so i'm really excited to see what they get up to and to you know be be available as was useful to advise on stuff but like the whole point is it's not my not

my circus to run i'm so glad that they have stepped into the ring did i pulled up metaphor off i don't understand yeah i don't know i'm looking forward to see what they up to and i'm glad they're getting up to it and it's a it's a it's a big relief and a useful thing for me that they are thank you for everybody on the trans

such an team or who's just been not constructive another attack to helping you guys make those plans yeah it's good

and yeah hum

like us we had a mess on threads met a talk on the tail end of the twitter stuff so if you're interested in seeing where other people are a mess done check that out i'm a mess it up

for people in other places other people were in other places too but mess it up mess on some most twitter like alternative out there like you could go spend your time doing something else somewhere else on some other social media platform but if you're looking for sir the twitter feed kind of thing method on his like much more straight across them spending time on like

you know whatever instagram

whatever instant and yeah whatever

yeah i saw somebody

i had like a really good like you know how people have linked trees sometimes that like just can have like a bunch of links to stuff because i guess people don't have websites yeah i saw another one of those sort of course i signed up for recently and promptly forgot what the hell it was called but if i if

i think about it i will ah toss it in the end the pike as threat because it was an easy place to be like these are my websites these are my social cesar are my blah and you can leave like a really short easy

sort of this is where i am go find in the other that's ringing a bell actually in a trance like i am on or something like that

yeah not in my support file i'll never know i guess

there is also a a sort of oh where to find you four years of oh that sounds right it's where to find out me yeah i'm sparky buttons

ends that's been going on for four years the mets read it say just it's a monthly send what you can send receive what you want to receive sort of card exchange that goes all year round and if you liked sending and receiving kurds go fucking check it out cause it's great that it's been going well for for years now thanks so much for doing this where he wasn't it's a nice thing

no ma'am i've already forgotten my password or log in or

whatever it is on where to find me spray your buttons thank you so much card club is a delight

and ah

yeah and and i'm happy to continue to be a

continue to be part of that getting mail it it is fun and having me fights to swap

slow low stakes male with has been something i enjoy yeah it's good stuff all right well i think we we we've hit the the ninety minute mark perfect the fuck outta here we'll we'll we'll go with your pretend heart out at four i'm i'll find out what happens when i press the button on this strange double text box out

i'll go i'll go box yep

yeah so if if if the last thing you hear is an earthly screaming or the middle teams flying through the air than i've been trapped in a hell raiser situation which will be a very ironic that for me

but friends this is it this time the new audio producer editor sounds guy or something like that that our hosts were very thoughtful not to call her by name earlier in the podcast

which i think means there must now be exactly ten people listening to this recording

i have three requests for you first of all we're looking for transcription hold either as a transcriber or better yet by leaving the transcription project

and i'm looking for music that might be interesting to insert into the podcast

there are musicians out there who want to record it ten or twenty seconds podcast related audio clip that would be great also if there are things in met a filter music from the past that you think would be great ah for the podcast please let me know
