Every few months, someone suggests a MetaFilter mix tape swap. They generally consist of hundreds of people sending a central organizer email and mailing addresses, and the organizer grouping people into "swapsets" of approximately six people. Some organizers have allowed people to volunteer to be in multiple swapsets.
